  • Incredible. The quality of the pressing is superb, and the recording captures something special with Yussef Dayes, Mansur Brown and Kareem Dayes laying into a thick, textural, calculated and groovy jam with Henry Wu on keys. This is a defining moment in the sound of jazz on planet Earth in the 21st century.

  • I'm sitting here listen to this wonderful and clear sounding record. Mine also sounds fantastic!!!!!

  • Crazy to see all the mixed reviews. Mine sounds fantastic! Worth every penny

  • Which one did you buy? Did you buy it just recently?

  • Hello,Does anyone knows how to differenciate the 1st realease, from the repress 1 and 2 ?Is the difference only checkable by weighting it ? In this case, could you guys indicate the weight of your vinyl, to make us able to compare hahaha ?What about the musicality ? It's kinf of abstract and depends a lot of the personal sensitivity and the Hi-Fi installation which is playing the album...I need help on that case (it's for a present, and I want to offer the best as possible, as my brother cares about the musical details which are inherent to the audio mastering and the press quality).

  • The music is great but sadly the pressing isn‘t. It‘s not worth to buy the vinyl, very silent with some noise...

  • Just arrived… My collection of Herbie Hancock`s records is going on shelf. Yussef is taking over THE SPIN... PEACE.

  • stunning album, modern jazz-funk masterpiece from a group of the top UK jazz players

  • I could be here all night spouting superlatives about this album, so I'll keep is simple...dope as a motherfucker! Inflated vinyl prices can be debated, but that's just the nature of the beast. This is 'thee' seminal jazz album of the modern era. Just stunning!

  • The pressing like people said is mostly great as Optimal tends to do. Sadly my copy had a scratch causing clicks which was possibly made by the cardboard inner thats not lined with plastic. The music is also mostly good, but mastered a little square and simple at times. Its like they forgot this was a stereo record on side A because its mostly a centered soundstage. Some sounds are a bit low fi, possibly as artistic choice, but it doesnt lend itself well to the sound. Theres not much to complain about here though, if you enjoy the music you should be satisfyed with this release.Equipment Used:Rega RP1 with Nagaoka MP-110 CartridgeCyrus 2 AmplifierSystem Fidelity SF-3050 Tower SpeakersCustom made HQ Speaker Cables

  • the 2017 repress is listed separately. First vinyl black pressing is heavier vinyl than subsequent pressings.

  • repress copies are on thinner (less heavy) vinyl than the initial black vinyl pressing.

  • probably 180g - please enter at least 2 more more

  • And how heavy is the original if I may ask?

  • How can you spot the difference between the limited edition and the regular one?

  • Both have the same sleeve. You cant without opening or knowing you bought direct

  • limited edition = white vinylregular edition = black vinyl1 more word

  • first black vinyl pressing is heavier weight vinyl than the subsequent pressings although the latest pressing (?third black vinyl pressing) doesn't seem to have the noise (pressing fault) that the earlier pressings have. I think each repress should be listed separately or at least the thicker black black and the subsequent thinner represss. The white vinyl copy I owned also had a lot of noise all over it.

  • seriously, 100 euros for a promo, I used to have it, and its the original cd in a plain sleeve.

  • great music, pity about the spoken word samples... i reach for the skip button every time the guy starts talking

  • Your turntable has a skip button as well? Thought I was the only one

  • Wonderful, wonderful pressing! Sounds absolutely terrific - all levels set perfect, heavy vinyl, no surface noise. If only all new records where pressed like this.. And the music.. Just lovely!

  • Fucking 10 words , this is Great great great album !

  • That’s**** Don’t*** you’re***** Also, there are 9 words maximum if you count every repeat, not 8. ;)

  • thats six words actually - four if you dont include the repeats of great - unless of course your counting "fucking ten words" then at maximum there are only 8 fucking words. Just sayin bro - your math is fucked.

  • well, they just split up according to the Brownswood FB page... so if theres a time to buy this masterpiece, now would prolly be it... *go in sharkssss*

  • Did I imagine it or did some fool recently ask over 400 euros for a white pressing of this gem ??It's a shame we have to suffer these money grabbing scum on discogs who seem to have no interest in the music whatsoever...I suggest anyone with 400 euros to burn, buy 30 copies of the latest pressing n give them away to friends n work colleagues.SPREAD THE WORD!!

  • Really good quality pressing. The sleeve itself feels thicker than the average record album sleeve and the record itself feels thick as well. My copy didn't have any noticeable surface noise. Excellent pressing by this label.

  • I've got some terrible surface noise and I just took it out of the package. Hopefully this was just an isolated incident! Too bad
